Edee at Weigel Stables can guide you to success!
Our Horsemanship Program includes everything you need to plan out a 365 day a year training program for you and your horse. Starting from the ground up, you can learn how to care for your horse at the Top International Level, with proper barn management, hoof care, shoeing, blanketing, grooming, feeding and conditioning.
Edee 's experience as a judge and course designer since 1980, plus 9 years as a rated USEF "r" Hunter Jumper and Equitation judge, gives you the assurance that you will learn the exact skills needed to not only perform comfortably, but to excel.
Edee uses slow work, cavalletti , and low jumps to naturally condition you and your horse. Edee will coach you as a rider to be more symmetrically balanced, using Dressage and Hunt Seat Equitation to give you the feeling of harmony you've always dreamed of.
Learn what bits to use and when, as well as saddle, bit and bridle fitting. We also encourage a healthy diet and lifestyle for you as an athlete using cross training, such as Yoga and Pilates, to improve your riding and your life!
If your goals are to compete in horse shows, Edee trains using a 'mock show dress rehearsal' format to help you and your horse feel more comfortable on show day. If you want to progress to being a Professional Horseman, Edee can help you with job placement assistance out of state, with junior judging and course design experience right here in Montana.
Edee was trained in yearly clinics, since 1977 by George Morris, the coach for our 2008 Gold Medal Olympic Showjumping team, and models her forward seat training after his methods. George Morris has stated during his west coast clinics, that Edee is ''a true horseman and her students are fortunate to ride with someone with her experience.'' He also stated that ''she is an artist on horseback who, not only can do it... but can teach it as well. ''
Edee's students have achieved their horsemanship goals, from retraining racehorses to become International Champion showjumpers to showing successfully on the USEF West Coast Circuit in Hunters/Jumpers and Equitation , to winning in combined training and dressage in Montana.

We have a 7 acre grass jumping field with beautiful jumps and a full size dressage arena at our home ranch. We have lesson horses available for jumping and dressage, as well as lounge line lesson horses for beginners.
Edee also teaches at several ranches and indoor arenas in South Central Montana.
